Salt sits on render, cladding, glass and metal and holds moisture against the surface, which is why beachside homes go green faster than anything inland.
Facades are soft washed to lift the salt film and mould together, rather than pressure rinsed, which just moves it around.

Timber decks and pool surrounds along the beaches take sand, sunscreen and salt. Those are cleaned at low pressure with a timber safe solution so the boards are not furred or gouged.
